Many Hands Make Light Work of Painting

Watching Joe LaShelle, of Thomson, IL, painting the house of Barry and Julia Schaley, 101 S. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, was a family affair, a labor of love, and an entertainment.

Seated below him, left-to-right, are mother-law Julia Shaley, wife Brenda LaShelle, and father-in-law Barry Shaley.

The Shaleys’ son Nick, daughter Brenda, and Julia painted the garage in the morning of Saturday, August 5, 2017, “to check the color,” stated the latter.  At 3:40 in the afternoon, son-in-law Joe was atop a ladder on the north side of the house, painting the eave.

He stated he “kinda” volunteered for the task.  Joe had the companionship–or scrutiny–of his wife and in-laws.  Barry said he was “the Supervisor.”

Julia stated their daughter Dorothy and son-in-law Dave Benters would arrive later in the day to complete the painting.  Done and done, and a lot of fun!
