On Saturday, July 15, 2017, a group of Harmon, IL, firefighters met at the Morrison, IL, Fire Station to receive 11 SCBA (Self-contained Breathing Apparatus) packs and bottles being donated to them.
Pictured third-from-left is Morrison Fire Department 1st Assistant Chief Joe Bielema, and third-from-right is Firefighter Dave Brandon. The remaining five men are Harmon Firefighters, starting left-to-right with Chief D. J. Sheridan; Lieutenant Dave Carrington, Lieutenant Chris Burmeister, Captain Travis Brooks, and Firefighter Levi Carrington.
Morrison Fire Department was able to purchase upgraded air packs from the generous donations and fundraisers of the community. Rather than dispose of the older packs, it was decided to help out an area department that was in need.
