Charges listed below are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On 7/19/17 at about 12:53 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to the area of IL Route 40 and Thome Roads, rural Rock Falls,IL, on the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. Investigation revealed a 2017 Toyota Corolla driven by Dylan J. Thayer, 21, of Rock Falls, was traveling northbound on Route 40 and struck David L. Tadlock, 55, of Rock Falls, who was standing in the roadway. Tadlock was transported to CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL, where he was later pronounced dead by the Whiteside County Coroner, Joe McDonald
The crash remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted by the Rock Falls Police and Fire Departments and the Illinois State Police.
