These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

6-19-17 at 12:50 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Sterling, IL, area.  Upon further investigation, Daniela L. Garza, age 26 of Sterling, was arrested for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Unlawful Transportation of Alcohol.  Garza was transported to the Sterling Police Department, where she was processed and released with a Notice to Appear.  The Sterling Police Department and Williams Towing assisted on scene.

6-21-17 at 8:47 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a personal injury crash in rural Prophetstown, IL.  Upon further investigation, the passenger was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries and Steven L. Ford, age 28 of Niles, OH, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked.  Ford was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he posted bond and was released with a later court appearance.  The Prophetstown Fire/EMS, Lyndon Fire/EMS, and Todd’s Towing assisted on scene.

6-22-17 at 10:05 p.m.  Kory L. Briggs, age 47 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for DUI – Drugs following the investigation of a citizens report of a reckless semi driver, eastbound on U. S. Route 30 near Agnew Road.  Briggs was processed at the Rock Falls Police Department and released on bond, pending a future court date.  Illinois State Police assisted on scene.

6-26-17 at 1:55 p.m.  A Whiteside County Deputy conducted a traffic stop for expired registration in Sterling, IL, near the intersection of Locust and W. 3rd Streets.  During the investigation of the stop the driver of the vehicle, Gary L. Tompkins, 24 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Expired Registration, Driving While License Revoked, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, and an active Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear on the Charge of Driving While License Suspended.  Tompkins was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held on the warrant.  Assisting on scene were Sterling Police and Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.

6-27-17 at 4:25 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on U. S. Route 30 east of Morrison, IL.  An eastbound vehicle driven by Daryl E. Schroeder, age 50 of Morrison, was stopped in traffic for another vehicle turning into a business driveway.  William E. Perris, age 47 of Dixon, IL, was also traveling eastbound and failed to see the other stopped vehicles.  The Perris vehicle crashed into the rear of the Schroeder vehicle causing moderate damage to both.  Perris was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.  Hunter’s Towing assisted on scene.
