Resthave Nursing Home, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, celebrated Mother’s Day on Thursday May 11, 2017, with a Mother’s Day Tea. Over 80 residents, friends, and family members attended this event, which served a variety of teas, snacks, and sweets. Many wore hats, and residents wore corsages that activity aide Emily Hutson made.
Dietary manager Tawnya Denning, with assistance from Linda Weets, made the fancy, beautifully-colored, and decadent desserts. Kris Muur headed up the elaborate decorations, featuring a Victorian look with lace, flowers, and pearl accents. Riley Horton blessed everyone with his musical talents by playing the recently-donated Baby Grand piano.
Prizes were given, and everyone had a wonderful time. Resthave would like to thank their staff and the many volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a huge success!
