On Wednesday, May 11, 2017, Morrison Chamber of Commerce joined the students of Northside School, 520 Genesee Street, Morrison, IL, to say thank you to some wonderful people from our community. Bonnie and John Bauscher and Mindy Remmers were celebrated for their acts of kindness and awarded the Because Nice Matters certificate.
Bonnie and John were nominated due to their quick thinking to stop their car and lend blankets to students, who were outside on a cold day, due to a fire drill.
On another cold day, Mindy Remmers noticed a child having difficulty entering the school and assisted the student inside.
Congratulations to Remmers and the Bauschers, not because nice is easy, but because nice matters!
