May 8 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

5/1/17 at 12:25 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Prophet Road near Luther Road for speeding.  Upon further investigation, the driver, Curtis L. Nelson, age 28 of Prophetstown, IL, was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Nelson was released with a Notice to Appear.

5/1/17 at 2:21 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to the report of a 14-year-old runaway from Sterling, IL, and a 17-year-old runaway from Morrison, IL, staying at a residence in Lyndon, IL.  Both Juveniles were transported to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, where they were processed and released to their parents, pending more from Whiteside County Juvenile Court.

5-01-15 at 2:54 p.m.  Tyler E. Dill, age 22 of Erie, IL, was stopped for speeding on Sand Road and cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He was released with a Promise to Comply, along with a written warning for the speeding offense.

5/5/17 at 1:22 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 40 near Quinn Road for speeding.  Upon further investigation, the driver, Jessica L. Holdren, age 29 of Sterling, IL, was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  Holdren was released with a Notice to Appear.

5/6/17 at 11:45 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on U. S. Route 30 near Ruffit Park.  Aaron M. Olson, age 33 of Lyndon, IL, was cited for Driving While License Revoked.  Olson was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

5-6-17 at 5:02 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a driving complaint on U. S. Route 30 nearing Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, Gregory J. Reyes, age 63 of Bettendorf, IA, was arrested for Improper Lane Usage and two counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Reyes was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department, where he was released with a Notice to Appear.  The Rock Falls Police Department and Slim-N-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

5-07-17 at 6:25 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies along with Prophetstown/Lyndon Fire and EMS responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 88 at milemarker 29, in rural Lyndon, IL.  Alex J. Martin, age 18 of Fulton, IL, was traveling westbound when he reportedly fell asleep.  His vehicle went into the north ditch, then crossed back over the pavement where it rolled, coming to rest driver’s side down in the median.  Martin was transported to CGH for observation and/or treatment.  He was cited for Improper Lane Usage.  Prophetstown Fire, Lyndon Fire, Prophetstown EMS, and Midwest Collision assisted on scene.
