Final Winter Program at the Windmill

Picture of Bake Off Judges 2016 400x300All members of the public are invited to the Windmill Cultural Center on Wednesday March 29, 2017 to attend the final program of the winter season. The Volunteer Educators are hosting the final Wild Winter Wednesdays at the Windmill Cultural Center (WWW@WCC). This program will featuring many different events; a Bake-Off contest, bake sale, silent auction, and movie presentation called “Dutch Masters: The Age of Rembrandt video – Art and Society in 16th Century Netherlands”. Everyone is invited to gather at 9:00 a.m. for coffee, tea, and sampling entries from the 2017 Mill Flour Bake Off.

After taste testing the Bake-Off contest entries, attendees to the program will be asked to vote for their favorite entry. Bake Off participants are providing two like items; one for sampling and one for sale by donation. The Bake Sale will be held on the 29th until all items are purchased.

The Educators have been sponsoring a silent auction during this winter during the WWW program season. All bidding will end at 9:45 a.m. on March 29 and will be available for pickup. Professor William Kloss, Art Historian, produced a series of videos titled “Dutch Masters: The Age of Rembrandt”. The first 30 minute video in the series, “Art and Society in 16th Century Netherlands”, will be shown this coming Wednesday during the final program.

The Windmill Cultural Center, located at 111 10th Avenue, Fulton, IL 61252, is accessible to people with disabilities and the program is funded through a grant from the Fulton Association for Community Enrichment.
