At 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017, Morrison Chamber of Commerce members hosted a “Because Nice Matters” presentation at Casey’s General Store, 602 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL. Store Manager Tonya Jensen was honored.
Tonya was nominated for the award by her staff. They said, “She has worked so hard to build. Tonya continuously goes above and beyond, not only for us but also for her important Casey’s customers. She constantly bends over backwards to keep them coming back to the store–3, 4, even 5 times a day. She greets them by name with her huge and thankful smile and always inquires about their family, jobs, health, and…personal details of their lives.”
“Tonya endures long hours, weekends, holidays, and on all nights that keep her away from her children and grandchildren. She works tirelessly with each employee regarding work schedules, even if they have a second job, school activities, or just life circumstances.”
“We respect and admire her decisions. She deserves this award to let her team know we are 100% behind her.”
Jensen, of Morrison, began work on June 24, 2014; it is her first management position. Including Jensen there are 23 staff members at Casey’s General Store.
“These are my employees that I come to work for every day,” she said. “They make me appreciate coming to work.”
