Gladys A. Bishop, 99, of Sterling, IL, formerly of Bloomington-Normal, IL, died Thursday, January 26, 2017.
Gladys was born June 10, 1917, in Granville, IL, the daughter of Nels P. and Eda (Anderson) Anderson. She married J. Reid Bishop on June 10, 1941, in Granville. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1971.
Survivors include one daughter, Dina Powers of Novato CA; three sons, John R. (Frances) Bishop of Morrison, IL, Paul (Linda) Bishop of Madison, WI, and Steve (Marie) Bishop of Peoria, IL; eight grandchildren, Jeff Bishop, Jay Bishop, Rachel Bishop, Erin Bishop, Dana Bishop, Benjamin Bishop, Drew Powers, and Kim Powers; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Edna Middleton, Agnes Anderson, and Jeanne Alleman.
A memorial has been established to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Fund.
