Eight, artistic athletes shivered in–literally–freezing temperatures, in the Morrison High School parking lot, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL, on Thursday, January 26, 2017. The 2016-2017 Pons squad departed about 3:30 p.m. for State competitions, on Friday, January 27, and Saturday, January 28. Family, friends, and supporters gathered to give a warm send-off to these young women.
First-year Coach Jill Beswick stated she was excited about the girls’ upcoming performance but “nervous about driving the bus.” Gregg Dolan and Kaywyn Beswick, Jill’s mother, offered simple routes to follow.
