Clinton Area Showboat Theatre (CAST) is excited to announce local auditions for the 2017 “Hooray for Hollywood” Season, on Saturday, January 28, 2017, and Sunday, January 29. The location for auditions is Ashford University’s Mullany Theatre in Clinton, IA.
Actors are asked to prepare 16 bars from a musical theatre song. A second 16- bar cut may be requested. Please bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided.
Auditions will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 on Sunday.
Some actors may be asked to return for dance callbacks at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 29.

High School students interested in participating in the Intern Company are also asked to prepare a one-minute monologue. Please indicate that you are interested in the Intern Company when emailing for an appointment. Actors of all ages are encouraged to audition.
The Showboat 2017 season “Hooray for Hollywood” includes Disney’s musical “Newsies” (Thursday, June 8, to Sunday, June 18); the thriller “Dial M for Murder” (Thursday, June 22, to Saturday, July 1); the high-spirited musical “Footloose” (Thursday, July 6, to Sunday, July 23); “The Bridges of Madison County” musical (Thursday, July 27, to Sunday, August 6); “The 39 Steps” (Thursday, August 10, to Saturday, August 19.)
