On Saturday, December 10, 2016, 16 Seahorses made the trip to Rock Island High School to compete in the 1st Annual Frostbite Invite. Each swimmer had the opportunity to compete in five events in IM order: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, and IM. Highlights from the meet include Skylar Drolema swimming a 1:04.19, which broke Izzy Alvarado’s 100 Back record of 1:04.56, set in 1994. Skylar also broke his own record in the 100 Fly by swimming a 1:02.88. The Seahorses brought home four High Point trophies. Jacob Allison won the Second Place High Point Trophy for the 8 and Under Boys. Kate Henson won the First Place High Point Trophy for 11-12 Girls. Drolema won the First Place High Point Trophy for 11-12 Boys. Gracen Harmon also won the First Place High Point Trophy for 13-14 Girls. Congratulations to the these Morrison, IL, swimmers.
