01-21-17 at 8:12 p.m. Deputies were called to the area of Lyndon Road and Spring Valley Road for the report of a single-vehicle accident. A vehicle traveling southbound on Lyndon Road left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Upon closer investigation, it was discovered that Kenneth C. French, 49 Thomson, IL, was suspected of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was transported to Morrison Community Hospital for observation. He was later cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was released on a Notice to Appear in Sterling[, IL,] Court.
On 1/21/17 at about 7:03 p.m. Deputies responded to the 800 block of Chase Road, rural Erie, IL, on the report of a domestic dispute. After an investigation, Deputies arrested Michael J. Sodemann, 45, of Erie, for Domestic Battery. He was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
