The Morrison Seahorses traveled to Bryon, IL, High School on Saturday, November 19, and Sunday, November 20, 2016, to swim in the Byron Turkey Shoot Swim Meet. Congratulations to the Seahorses. Highlights from the meet follow.
Schyon Drolema swam a Regional qualifying time in the 100 Freestyle.
Gracen Harmon also swam Regional qualifying times in the 200 Individual Medley, the 200 Freestyle, and the 100 Butterfly.
Skylar Drolema, below right, set four new Seahorse records which have been in place for twenty years! He swam a 56.35 in the 100 Freestyle, which broke Izzy Alvarado’s record of 56.57. His 50 Butterfly time of 28.60 broke Izzy’s record of 28.75. Skylar swam a 1:04.32 in the 100 Individual Medley, which is a new State qualifying time, and he also broke Izzy’s record of 1:08.60. His 200 Freestyle time of 2:04.23 broke Izzy’s record of 2:05.28. Skylar also ended the meet earning enough points to earn the 11-12 Boy’s 1st Place High Point trophy.
