Victor Loren Roggendorf, 87, of Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, IL, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the nursing home.
Victor was born December 13, 1929, in Clinton, IA, to Julius Victor and Velma F. (St. Ores) Roggendorf. He served in the U. S. Army. Victor married Marilyn J. Betts on October 9, 1971, in Cordova, IL. She died January 24, 2014. Victor worked at Nelson’s Electric in Morrison and Drives, Inc. in Fulton, IL, and he was also a farmer. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Morrison.
Survivors include one son, Todd (Rebecca Burmeister) Betts of Morrison; one stepson, Wayne Betts of Rock Falls, IL; one granddog, Bud.
>He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; two sisters, Virginia Weisenberger and Ruby Harridge; one brother, Lawrence Roggendorf; one sister-in-law, Rose Filloon; one brother-in-law, Roger Filloon.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Morrison, IL
