The Morrison Community Unit School District #6 has received several inquiries pertaining to comments made by a Morrison High School student this afternoon, Thursday, November 17, 2016. Please know that the District takes all such comments seriously and investigates these matters thoroughly.
When such matters arise, the District works closely with local law enforcement to determine their validity. At this time, in conjunction with the Morrison Police Department, the District and the Morrison Police Department are of the opinion that comments made this afternoon do not pose a threat to student safety tomorrow, Friday, November 18.
Please be reassured that, although we do not feel as though there is a danger to student attendance, to ease concerns there will be a Police presence tomorrow.
