Reverend Dr. Michael Selburg was installed as the Moderator of the Blackhawk Presbytery, on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
There are 88 congregations in Northern Illinois, which are members of the Synod of Lincoln Trails of the Presbyterian Church (USA.)
After receiving the gavel, Pastor Selburg told the congregation at the Stronghold meeting, this was the same gavel his Grandfather Simpson used when he was Moderator.
Several members of the First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, where Pastor Mike serves, were in attendance.
