The Sawmill Museum, 2231 Grant Street, Clinton, IA, is your 2016 holiday headquarters. The museum has a different activity planned for every day from Saturday, November 26, to Thursday, December 22. All programs are holiday and Christmas oriented, with a focus on creative imagination. Each usually has activities for all age groups, with the goal being to produce a piece worthy of display.
The range of activities include gifts, decorations, displays, ceramics, ornaments, Morrison High School Madrigal Singers, and more. All activities–except ceramics and a nighttime event–are included in regular admission to the museum.

Hours are Sundays, 1:00 to 5 p.m.; Mondays, 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.; Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you cannot make one day work, but you really want to do that activity, the museum can usually arrange that activity on another day with prior notice.
The museum will haie a special membership drive. All new or renewing members will receive a jewelry box, while supplies last. There will be gift shop sales. The highlight of the museum’s gift shop is all the locally-made craft items, including items made by our volunteers.
The mission of The Sawmill Museum is to preserve, collect, interpret, and explore the history of America’s sawmill, lumber, and forestry industries. Centered around the story of Clinton’s rich lumber history, the Museum features dynamic exhibits, programs, and events that explore the history of these industries, their current practices, and future opportunities and challenges.
All programs are free with paid admission to the museum.
