Jane Crawford-Reavy (1953 – 2016)

jane crawford reavyJane Crawford-Reavy, 62, of 16330 Union Street, Morrison, IL, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at her home.

Jane was born December 20, 1953, in Rochester, MN, to Eugene “Gene” and Dorothy (Anderson) Balts.  In 1972 she graduated from Portage High School in Portage, WI.  She received an Associate Degree from Western Wisconsin Technical College, La Crosse, WI, trained as an EEG Technician.  She married Bryce Crawford on September 6, 1975, in La Crosse.  He passed away on May 22, 2013. On September 28, 2014, she married Reynolds “Ray” Reavy in Morrison.  Jane had worked as an EEG tech at hospitals in La Crosse and in New Hampshire.  After taking time off to raise her girls, Jane worked for 23 years in the Pleasant Valley School District in Bettendorf, IA.  She attended St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison and was active in the Pleasant Valley School PTO.  She was a thespian, and a huge Stevie Nicks fan, attending many of her concerts.  Jane was an expert quilt and rug maker; many of her family and friends have been gifted with her beautiful hand-made items.  Her family was her pride and joy, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ray; three daughters, Chelsea (Douglas) Bohnker of Washington, IL, Brittany (Timothy) Benevides of Davenport, IA, and Kimberly Pickett of Minnesota; one son, Michael Crawford of Minnesota; five grandchildren, Riley and Caitlin Bohnker, Nehemiah, Isaiah, and Atticus Benevides; three sisters, Carol (Thomas) Klabunde of Oshkosh, WI, Ruth (Tony) Greisinger of Oshkosh, and Vicki (David) Rach of Chaseburg, WI; one brother, David (Laurie) Balts of Onalaska, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Bryce.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

MEMORIAL SERVICE:  11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL

OFFICIATING:  Rev. Mike Winkelman, Associate Pastor of St. Peter Luther Church in Morrison, IL

A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held following the memorial service.

The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
