“To date, we are not aware of when the DOT plans on addressing Route 78 through Morrison.”

“Mayor Pannier has been active in trying to nudge this project towards the top of the DOT’s priority list.  We receive many complaints on this stretch of road, but we understand the DOT has many projects and very limited funds.  We are eager for the State’s finances to allow for an improvement on Route 78, which is an important north-south transportation route for the region.”

Dykhuizen concludes, The Proposed Highway Improvement Plan “is available in this link….Whiteside County (DOT District 2) starts on page 292:”  http://www.idot.illinois.gov/Assets/uploads/files/Transportation-System/Reports/OP&P/HIP/2017-2022/2017-2022%20MYP.pdf.
