Ruth M. Finley, age 93 of Rock Falls, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Ruth was born on September 28, 1923, in Tampico, IL, the daughter of Edward and Martha (Jacobs) Schultz. She married Alvin Bollman on July 18, 1942; he preceded her in death on July 12, 1971. She then married Lyle Finley on July 3, 1972; he preceded her in death on April 3, 2002. She was employed by General Electric for many years before retirement.
Survivors include her two step-granddaughters, Lisa (Jerry) Stuart of Morrison, IL, and Lori (Dan) Davis of Lyndon, IL; one sister, Maxine Mount of Rock Falls, IL; step-daughter, Ruthann Johnson of Houston, TX; five step-grandchildren, Penny, Dawn, Gail, Hope and Kyle; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; her faithful Beagle, Lucky.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; parents; step-daughter and stepson-in-law, Wanda and Arman Francis; six brothers, Lester, Harold, Everett, Francis, Kenneth, and Donald Shultz; four sisters, Fern Isenberg, Luella Brotheridge, Donna Faye Boehm, and one sister in infancy; two stepsons-in-law, Bruce Eller and Art Johnson; one step-granddaughter, Tammy.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls, IL.
