Morrison Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present a new event, for adults ages 21 and older. It is our 1st Annual Sip & Spell Adult Spelling Bee fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Hero’s Bar and Grill, 208 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL. In a twist on the usual trivia night, you will face off against other “hives” by working with your team of four-to-six people, to fly through three rounds of words!
The evening promises to be fun, as drinks, mulligans, and stingers will be available for purchase. Adam Smith will be the evening’s “Beemaster.” Entry fee is $10 per person. Space is limited, and advanced registration is required by Friday, September 23.

Come early to enjoy the taco bar for an additional $6 per person. Doors open; the taco bar begins at 5:00 p.m.; the spelling bee/trivia is from 6:00 to 8:00.
Cheats may be purchased at the time of check in. Ten dollars buys your hive a mulligan card. A “round of stingers” may be purchased to “sting” the competition and give your hive an advantage.
The Sip & Spell is free to watch for those ages 21 and over. So, we also encourage audience supporters to sit on the sidelines and observe, heckle, or cheer on their favorite spelling contestants. Participants are encouraged to invite members of a cheering section.
