September 12 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

09-01-16 at 2:15 a.m.  Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Moline Road near Yorktown, IL, and once they arrived, the driver was no longer present.  During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was traveling westbound on Moline Road, went off the roadway on the north shoulder, and lost control.  The vehicle slid sideways into the south ditch and struck a fence before coming to rest.  It was determined that Brandon W. Thompson, age 32 of Sterling, IL, was the driver.  He was arrested Wednesday, September 7, for Improper Lane Usage, Leaving the Scene of a Property Da.m.age Accident, and Failure to Report to Police Authority.

9-3-16 at 10:01 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Fulton, IL, area.  Upon further investigation, Brandon Brooks-Davis, age 26 of Bolingbrook, IL, was arrested for an outstanding Cook County Warrant for a Probation Violation, with the original charge of Domestic Battery.  Brooks-Davis was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held in lieu of bond.  The Iowa State Police, Illinois State Police, and Fulton Police Departments assisted on scene.

9-4-16 at 7:22 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Morrison, IL, area.  Upon further investigation, Maxwell A. Simmons, age 19 of Polo, IL, was cited for Speeding, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis Under 10 Grams, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Simmons was released on scene with a Notice to Appear.

9-4-16 at 9:21 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffics stop in the Morrison, IL, area.  Upon further investigation, Patrick L. Bowman, age 39 of Dolton, IL, was arrested for Speeding and Driving While License Suspended.  The passenger, Latoya Q. Davis, age 37 of Dolton, was cited for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released with a Notice to Appear.  Bowman was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released with a Notice to Appear.

09-04-16 at 9:30 p.m.  David A. McGinty, age 43 of Bettendor, IA, was stopped for speeding on IL Route 84 north of Fulton, IL.  He was ultimately arrested for Speeding 66/55 MPH, Aggravated DUI, Driving While License Suspended, and a Rock Island County Warrant–DUI; processed; held at the Whiteside County Jail on the felony charge.  Fulton Police and Midwest Collision assisted on scene.

09-05-16 at 12:45 a.m.  Tanner J. Shipp, age 19 of Prophetstown, IL, was stopped for Inoperative Headlight.  He was arrested for the headlight violation and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and processed for Zero Tolerance–Implied Consent.  Shipp was released on scene, and Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.

09-06-16 at 10:27 p.m.  Shawn M. Domianus, age 27 of Hollywood, CA, was stopped on I-88 at Mile Post 37.  He was arrested for Speeding 81 in a 70; given a  Civil Citation for Possession of Cannabis and a Civil citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He was released on a Notice to Appear.

09-06-16 at 10:30 p.m.  Kyle C. Mecham, age 23 of Clinton, IA, was stopped for an inoperative headlight in Fulton, IL.  He was arrested for two counts of DUI and Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Beverages; processed on scene; released with a Notice to Appear.  Fulton Police and Midwest Collision assisted on scene.

9-6-16 at 11:02 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 near Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, Rosa E. Lopez, age 33 of California, was cited for Scott’s Law Violation–failure to move over for an emergency vehicle.  Lopez was released on scene with a mandatory court appearance in Sterling Court.

9-6-16 at 11:44 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 near Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, a 16-year-old juvenile of Lyndon, IL, was cited for Scott’s Law Violation–failure to move over for an emergency vehicle.  The juvenile was released on scene with a mandatory court appearance in Sterling Court.

09-09-16 at 9:12 p.m.  Benjamin P. Rodriguez, age 31 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped for an inoperative headlight on IL Route 40 south of Rock Falls and arrested for No Valid Driver’s License– Expired.  He was bonded on scene with an I-bond, pending a future court date.

09-09-16 at 11:47 p.m.  Kenneth J Cole, age 20 of Erie, IL, and Hannah L. Wilson, age 20, of Morrison, IL, were stopped on IL Route 78 at I-88.  Both were arrested for Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear.

09-10-16 at 1:51 a.m.  Abbigail E. Swan, age 23 of Albany, IL, was stopped on IL Route 84 at Ebson Road.  She was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear.  Her vehicle was removed from the scene by Midwest Towing.

09-10-16 at 3:38 a.m.  Robert J. McCoy, age 23 of Morrison, IL, was stopped for improper lane usage on Emerson Road.  He was arrested for Improper Lane Usage and two counts of DUI, where he was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and released on a Notice to Appear.  Hunter’s Towing assisted on scene.

09-10-16 at 7:30 p.m.  Paul J. Brown, age 39 of Sterling, IL, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at Yorktown Road at Mellotts Road.  He was arrested on a Whiteside County Warrant for Driving while License Suspended and a Whiteside County Warrant for Obstructing a Court Order.  Brown was unable to post bond and was held at Whiteside County Jail.

09-10-16 at 9:54 p.m.  Angela Gryziec, age 31 of Shickshinny, PA, was stopped on I-88 at mile post 25.  She received a citation for speeding 83 in a 70, a Civil Citation for Possession of Cannabis, and a Civil citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She was released on a Notice to Appear.

09-11-16 at 12:13 a.m.  Brianna C. A. Nunn, age 19 of Sterling, IL, was stopped on Avenue G in Sterling for an inoperative headlight.  She was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License and I-bonded on scene.  Passenger Fabian D. Medina, age 20 of Prophetstown, IL, was arrested for Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor.  Sterling Police and Slim-n-Hank’s assisted on scene.

09-11-16 at 2:30 a.m.  Kaleb L. Ebersole, age 22 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 near Habben Road.  He was arrested for Speeding 65/55 MPH and two counts of DUI; processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office; released on a Notice to Appear.  Passenger Magdelyn S. Dravis, age 22 of Sterling, was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Beverage(s).  She was released with a Notice to Appear.  Illinois State Police and Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.
