Coloring for Adults at Odell August 15

ColorSunflowerColoring.  Adult Coloring.  It is all the rage.  The Friends of Odell Public Library is offering an evening of coloring on Monday, August 15, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Bring your pens, pencils, and books and join friends in this new, but old, trend.  If this is something new for you and you want to see what all the fuss is about, Odell will furnish pages and colors.

“When the going gets tough, real women start coloring,” stated USA Today.  Adult Coloring calms and relaxes by switching off the brain from other thoughts.  Coloring reminds us all of our childhood.

Crayola brought serious grown-up attention to coloring, by launching markers, pencils, crayons, and coloring books for adults.  Just open a book, and leave the world behind while creating with color.

How would you colorize this sunflower?  Would you use a variety of shades and tints to add depth?  Would you avoid the traditional golden tones, to focus the eye on the shapes of the petals?

People can be found coloring almost anywhere:  doctors’ offices, airport lounges, coffee shops, and libraries.  Coloring is for all ages!  Come and enjoy time with fellow colorers at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, on Monday, August 15, from 6:00 to 8:00.
