David A. Roman, 76, of Prophetstown, IL, died at his home on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from complications of ALS.
David was born September 15, 1939, in Sterling, IL, to Robert and Lucile (Johnson) Roman. He was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School and graduated from Prophetstown High in 1957. He then attended AIC Business School in Davenport, IA, and also Western IL University in Macomb, IL. On March 7, 1964, he married Jacqueline Hagel in Prophetstown. David was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked at Drives in Fulton, IL, for 38 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Prophetstown and Prophet Hills Country Club. David enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks fan.
Survivors include his wife, Jacki; one daughter, Julie (Scott Peters) Courter of Tipton, IA; two sons, David (Kristina) Roman, Jr. of West Hills, CA, and Joe (Ashlynn) Roman of Freeport, IL; six grandchildren, Samantha and Rachel Rose Courter, David Roman III and Hailey Roman, Lilyanna and Mason Roman; two sisters, Jan (Larry) Otis of Erie, IL, and Christi Smith of Morrison; one brother, Robert (Diane) Roman of Prophetstown; his best canine pal, Maggie.
David was preceded in death by his parents.

VISITATION: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown, IL
