Charges listed below are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On 5/29/16 at about 11:29 a.m., the Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash, at the intersection of IL Route 40 and Science Ridge Roads, Sterling, IL.
Investigation revealed a 2005 Buick Terraza, driven by a 16-year-old female, was stopped westbound on Science Ridge Road for the posted stop sign. She proceeded westbound, failing to yield to a northbound 2007 Honda Shadow, driven by Daniel C. Milnes, 57, of Morrison, IL.
Daniel and his passenger, Kathleen A Milnes, 54, of Morrison, were both transported to CGH Medical Center for their injuries.
The 16-year-old female was later taken to CGH by a private vehicle for treatment. The juvenile was cited for Failure to Yield at a Stop Intersection.
Deputies were assisted by Sterling Police and Fire, CGH Ambulance, and the Illinois State Police
