MJHS 8th Grade Boys Earn State Championship

IESARunnersThe Morrison Junior High School Eighth Grade boys track and field team earned the 2016 IESA State Championship, by outscoring  St. Andrews of Rock Falls, IL, by 20 points in the chilly weather of East Peoria, IL.

The Morrison track and field team journeyed to the Eastside Centre in East Peoria on Friday, May 13, 2016, to participate in the IESA State Track and Field Meet. They returned on Saturday, May 14, with a team State Championship. It included  three individual State Champions and top ten finishes in eight additional events.

4X200 Relay:  John Winkleman, Nate Helms, Hunter Newman, Thomas Ottens (10th)

4X400 Relay:  Thomas Ottens, Nate Helms, Thomas Dauphin, Hunter Newman (6th)

High Jump:  Thomas Ottens (10th)

Shot Put :  Ashton Smith (13th)

400 meter dash:  Keegan Anderson (1st)–New MJHS school record, 52.26 seconds

800 meter run:  Koby Brackemyer (2nd)

4X200 Relay:  Keegan Anderson, Koby Brackemyer, Evan Wiebenga, Nathan Mickley (1st)
