ZombieCrawlTourism and the Robert Fulton Community Center (RFCC) will host the first Zombie Crawl and 5K, on Saturday, May 14, 2016, to benefit the RFCC, the Andresen Nature Center, 409 N. 4th Street, and the Early American Crafters.  The Zombie 5K will start at Heritage Canyon, 515 N. 4th Street, Fulton, IL, beginning at 3:00 p.m. followed by the Zombie Crawl at 4:00 within the Canyon.  This event is not a scary crawl at all.

Deadline for donor and sponsorship acknowledgement is Friday, April 29.

Parking for this event will be located at the RFCC, 912 4th Street, or the Fulton Corp Parking lot, located at 8th Avenue and 3rd Street.  A shuttle bus will pick-up and drop-off in the north parking lot at the RFCC.

The goal for these events is to produce funds that support continued programming and operations of each organization, so they may help grow our community.

Interest and support from other haunt groups has been amazing!  Marlena Midnite, from Midnite Mausoleum, will be at the crawl.  The Clinton Lumberkings are promoting this event at their stadium, by hosting a costume contest at their Zombie Crawl night on Thursday, May 12.  Come see a zombie throw the first pitch at the game!

Preregistration is open now until Monday, May 2.  Individuals wishing to  participate only in the Zombie Crawl can visit our website www.fultonzombiecrawl.wix.com/event to print a registration form or stop by the RFCC.  Those wishing to run in the Zombie 5k can register through www.getmeregistered.com.

The $25 registration fee includes access to both events, a Zombie Crawl/5K t-shirt, and a chance to win prizes.  Race winners will be presented their awards upon completion and will be recognized via social media.  Winners for the Zombie Crawl will be selected after the event has concluded and notified directly, as well as announced via social media.  The cost will be $35 at the gate.  T-shirts will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Runners are welcome to dress up as zombies, but are asked to wear the Zombie Crawl/5K t-shirt if they participate in the Crawl within Heritage Canyon.

  • Individuals completing the course are challenged the task of visiting five checkpoints within the Canyon and collecting a token from each station.
  • Zombies will be roaming through the canyon seeking “health flags” that participants receive upon check-in.
  • Participants must return tokens and any remaining health flags upon check-in at Andresen Nature Center, to be classified and entered to win prizes.
