The public is invited to a Mother’s Day weekend event filled with the fine arts. Morrison Community Unit School District #6 and C.A.P.A., the organization that brings you Paint The Town and so much more, are once again sponsoring a District-wide art show at the Junior High School, 300 Academic Drive, Morrison, IL. It is free to attend.
For a fourth consecutive year, the Visual and Performing Arts Departments have teamed up to entertain the community and showcase the work of K-12 students. Work from nearly all District students–from kindergarten through high school–will be represented.
This 2016 exhibit will take place on
- Saturday, May 7, from noon until 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday, May 8, from noon until 4:00 p.m.
The art show was purposely placed around the musical performance of “Shrek The Musical” at Morrison High School, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison. Three performances will be given:
- Friday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, May 8, at 2:00 p.m.
Advance ticket sales at Fitzgerald Pharmacy, 124 E. Main Street, are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Ticket sales at the door are $8 for adults and $6 for students.
