Michael Blean has been a Ward 1 Alderman on the Morrison, IL, City Council since 2011. Blean has moved outside the City limits and must vacate the position he has held into a second term. His resignation was effective Friday, March 25.
Although Blean’s last official meeting was Monday, March 14, he returned on Monday, March 28.
Mayor Everett Pannier, right, presented Blean with a commemorative plaque in recognition of his service to the City.
Pending approval by the City Council, Mayor Pannier will appoint Kenneth Mahaffey to fill Blean’s term, until the election in April 2017.
