Remember your first car/truck? Remember the thrill of getting behind the wheel for the first time? What a scary thrill!
Emmanuel Reformed Church is offering you an opportunity to relive that moment, as you visit the 8th Annual Car Show, on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
Whiteside County Fairgrounds, 201 W. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL, will be the site. Owners will show off their refurbished vehicles of the past and compete for the award of Best of Show. Registration is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00. Awards will be presented at 2:00 p.m. DJ musical entertainment will be provided by 3D Sound Company.
Visitors are asked to bring a non-perishable item that will be donated to Morrison Friends Food Pantry.
August 28 will begin with a Pancake Breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. and serving through 10:00. All vehicles will be available for visitors to view. Throughout the day, interact with exhibitors and share stories related to memories created by a special vehicle.
Rain or shine, the public is welcome to display vehicles of the past. Owners can participate by contacting Lloyd DeShane at 815-535-3240. Ten Best of Best trophies will be awarded plus Top 30 Award Plaques.
This event is truly multi-generational. Invite family members or friends. Start with breakfast, and enjoy the day focusing on Art-on-Wheels. Stop by the fairgrounds on Saturday, August 28, and appreciate the care and attention these owners have given to these vehicles.
