The Sabbath and the Fourth of July, 2021, fall upon the same day.
Morrison United Methodist Church will celebrate this day of great consequence with a bang!
The location is 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
The morning’s worship will be highlighted by patriotic music, flag waving, and a nod to our U. S. Constitution. On this the anniversary of the 245th year of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the congregation will join together and recite the Preamble to the Constitution.
Pat Cassens and John Frame will play an organ/piano duet, “America, the Beautiful.” A vocal ensemble will perform “God Bless America” with the congregation joining in this well-known anthem, complete with flag waving. Worship will conclude with the singing of “America.”
