On Monday, April 10, 2023, the City of Morrison City Council met, with all Aldermen meeting the roll call except Alderman Deets.
A Departmental report from Police Chief Valladares noted a current search for an additional hire should be completed by the week’s end.
The approved Consent Agenda included the approval of a Department of Fun “Glow Parade” on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The procession of lights will travel west on Main Street from Madison Street to Orange beginning at 8:30 p.m.
The Council approved the following Items for Consideration:
Revision to the Rules Pertaining to Recording Public Meetings and Public Comment
Pay request on water meter replacements ($76,114.23)
Change order on customer water meters replacements ($2885)
Year-ending fund transfers for vehicle purchases
The first draft of the fiscal year 2024 Operating and Capital Budget Plan
Renewal of Health Plan with BCBS
An Ordinance establishing Water and Sewer Rates.

2024: Service charge = $19.70 Usage Rate = $6.80/ 1000 gal.
2025: Service Charge = $20.40 Usage Rate = $7.05 / 1000 gal.
2026: Service Charge = $21.10 Usage Rate = $7.30 / 1000 gal.
2027: Service charge = $21.55 Usage Rate = $7.45 / 1000 gal.
