Morrison Chamber of Commerce invites residents and neighbors of Morrison, IL, to attend the 35th annual Christmas Walk and parade, Saturday, December 3, 2022. The theme is Snowflake Wonderland.
The multi-faceted , Main Street event begins at 5:30 p.m., on the corner of U. S. Highway 30 and IL Route 78, with a welcome by Mayor Scott Vandermyde. Suzy Snowflake (Cordelia DeRycke) and Jack Frost (Jonathan Ferguson) will turn on the community Christmas tree lights. Then, community singing of carols will be led by Eric Phend.
Entry line up for the Lighted Christmas Parade is before the 6:00 start time, at Community State Bank. The parade processes to Orange Street (Post Office.) Look for Grand Marshall Arnie Drolema near the beginning.
Main Street events take place after the parade, from bounce houses and a barrel train ride–free soup in “The Olde Hotel and ornament painting–meeting Santa–to a Chamber Dessert Dash Raffle!
