3-year-old dies after being hit by vehicle at All Saints parking lot

UPDATE: Davenport police have released the name of the pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday in the All Saints Catholic School parking lot. The victim has been identified as Braddock Shovlain, 3, of Davenport.
An unidentified pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of All Saints Catholic School, 1926 N. Marquette St., Davenport.
The single-vehicle accident happened about 3:10 p.m. on private property, according to Davenport Police Sgt. Brian Stevens, Traffic Bureau supervisor, Crash Investigation Unit.
Davenport police and fire crews, along with Medic EMS, responded to the crash that involved a driver of a Chevrolet Silverado that struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport, for treatment of life-threatening injuries and later was declared deceased upon arrival at the hospital.
No more information was available late Sunday, pending notification of the victim’s family, Stevens said in a news release.
The Davenport Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate the crash.
