As the holiday season arrives, it is difficult not to think about the ones that we love. Morrison Community Hospital encourages the community to reflect on those we have lost and the wonderful memories that we still have. “Thanks for the Memories” is the theme for the Twenty-fourth Annual Tree of Lights at MCH, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL.
MCH staff will decorate a tree in the front lobby with lights and angel ornaments, in memory of loved ones. This Annual Tree of Lights is a joint effort between staff, MCH Foundation, and members of the community, as we celebrate the Christmas season.
Names of those remembered will be posted by the lobby tree and also published in the Whiteside News Sentinel and on thecity1.com.
Also this year, to honor loved ones, we have decorated the evergreen in the front yard of the white house beside the hospital entrance driveway.
Both trees will be lit on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 4:00 p.m.
To memorialize your loved one with an ornament, send a note with that person’s name and a $5 minimum donation to Morrison Community Hospital Foundation, ATTN: Mick Welding, 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL 61270 before Tuesday, November 24.
Proceeds will support the mission of the MCH Foundation: “…to support the Morrison Community Hospital, foster its growth, and to perpetuate excellence in healthcare.”
It is hoped the community will participate in the tree lighting on Tuesday, December 1, at 4:00. Trees will stay lit for the duration of the holiday season.
After Tuesday, December 29, you may come take your ornament, as a remembrance of your loved one.
