On Good Friday, March 29, the annual ecumenical Community Cross Walk begins at Resthave Rehabilitation & Health Care, 408 Maple Avenue, at 12:15 p.m. Community participants should arrive before that time and park their vehicles. After this service, those who do not wish to walk a half mile to Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, 500 N. Jackson Street, may ride a bus. Likewise, about 12:50 p.m., the bus will return participants to Resthave.
Inside Resthave on the Nursing side, Morrison United Methodist Church Pastor Sun-ah Kang will give a brief Easter message. Brethren in Christ Pastor Craig and Kathi Sipes will lead the group in hymn singing. Walkers then progress north on Jackson Street to Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, where Church of St. Anne-Episcopal Father James Brzezinski will speak in the Cafeteria.
The public is invited to
1. attend either or both short services at these residential care facilities
2. walk with others
3. help carry the cross for awhile
4. contemplate the procession.
Morrison Ministers Council arranges the annual Community Cross Walk.
