Watch live video of the eagles’ nest: Arconic Eagle Cam.
Trivia notes: If you see both parents at the nest, the larger bird is the female, by about 33%. She also has a longer hooked beak. The American Bald eagle is not bald at all; its head is covered by white feathers. The adjective “bald” comes from the word piebald. It means “spotty or patchy.”
Listed are names of eaglets hatched from an aerie high above Arconic Group property in Davenport, IA, since 2010. Parents Liberty and Justice fledged Freedom, Spirit, Faith, Hope, Honor, Glory, Rudy, Star, Sky, Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Windy, Storm, unknown, and unknown.
