2019 Blackhawk Hills Regional Council Schedules

BlackhawkHillsRegionalCouncilLogoBlackhawk Hills Regional Council (BHRC) announces its 2019 Monday meeting schedule for its Board of Directors.  Dates include Board meetings, Regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (RCEDS) Committee meetings, and Annual Summits.

The public is welcome to attend all of the meetings.  Attendance is recommended for those with particular interest in the future of Northwest Illinois.

All Board meetings start at 6:00 p.m.  Most convene at the Heritage Center located at 106 S. Broad Street, in Lanark, IL.  The location and time for the Monday, June 10, Annual Meeting will be announced in early 2019.

  • May 20
  • June 10 (Annual Meeting)
  • July 29
  • September 23
  • November 25.

The RCEDS Committee is scheduled to meet on June 10 (7:30 a.m.) and October 25 (7:30 a.m.)  These meetings will be held before BHRC’s spring and fall summits, June 10 and October 25, respectively, on community and economic development.  Meeting locations will be announced in early 2019.

About BHRC
Based in Rock Falls, BHRC is a not-for-profit organization–provides community and economic development (as an Economic Development District), natural resources conservation (as a Resource Conservation and Development District), and planning services (as a Regional Planning Organization) in Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, and Whiteside Counties in Northwest Illinois.  It is overseen by an 18-member Council, consisting of three representatives (one County Board-appointed member, one Soil and Water Conservation District-appointed member, and one at-large member) from each of the six Counties.
