You are invited to celebrate 2018 Christmas Eve services at any of these 16 Morrison, IL, churches. Some churches hold Tuesday, December 25, Christmas morning services.
Bethesda Lutheran Church–301 W. South Street, will have Candlelight service on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, at 5:00 p.m. This service will be filled with carols, and Bethesda Sr. Choir will provide special music.
Brethren in Christ Church–209 E. Knox Street, will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service Monday, December 24, at 7:00 p.m., with a variety of special music. All are welcome to attend.
Crossroads Community Church–Morrison Institute of Technology, 701 Portland Avenue (IL Route 78), will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service Monday, December 24, at 4:00 p.m. There will be musicians and the Worship Team, followed by fellowship, cookies, and drinks.
Ebenezer Reformed Church–309 E. Park Street, will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service Monday, December 24, at 6:00 p.m. Singing will feature a wide variety of Christmas carols.
Emmanuel Reformed Church–202 E. Morris Street, will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service Monday, December 24, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with organ music, Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” sung by the full choir, and other special music. Child care is provided in the nursery.
First Presbyterian Church–100 E. Lincolnway, will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service with music at 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, December 16, after the 10:00 a.m. service, a Christmas luncheon will be served. The public is invited to attend.
Kingdom Life Community Church (formerly named Open Bible Fellowship)–11429 Ward Road, will have pre-Christmas services on Sunday, December 23, with 8:45 a.m. Sunday School; 10:00 a.m. worship; 6:00 p.m. worship with Holy Communion.
Morrison Christian Church–201 S. Genesee Street, will have a pre-Christmas service with Holy Communion on Sunday, December 23, at 10:00 a.m.
Morrison Christian Reformed Church–300 W. South Street, will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service at 4:15 p.m., on Monday, December 24.
Morrison First Baptist Church–406 E. Maple Avenue, will hold a Candlelight service with Holy Communion and carols at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 24.
Morrison United Methodist Church–200 W. Lincolnway, will hold two Candlelight Christmas Eve services with Holy Communion, on Monday, December 24. At 4:00 p.m. the Children’s Message will be delivered, accompanied by special music. The 7:00 service features carols by the choir.
Our Savior Lutheran Church–21496 Hazel Road, will hold a Candlelight Christmas Eve service Monday, December 24, at 6:00 p.m. The service is a hymn sign with a short message.
St. Anne’s Episcopal Church–401 N. Cherry Street, will have the Fourth Sunday of Advent Mass on Sunday, December 23, at 9:00 a.m. An evening Christmas Eve Solemn High Mass will be held on Monday, December 24, at 5:30 p.m. On Tuesday, December 25, The Nativity of Our Lord: Christmas Day Mass starts at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, there will be Evening Prayer at 5:00 p.m. in honor of Saint Stephen, Deacon and Martyr; a Mass begins at 5:30. On Sunday, December 30, at 9:00 a.m., is the First Sunday after Christmas Day Mass with Christmas carols. New Year’s Day, January 1, 2019, is the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus, with a Mass at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, there will be Evening Prayer at 5:00 p.m. in honor of Blessed Elizabeth Ann Seton; a Mass begins at 5:30. Sunday, January 6, is The Feast of the Epiphany Service of Lessons and Carols with Mass at 9:00 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church–13320 Garden Plain Road, will hold Christmas Eve Vigil Mass on Monday, December 24, at 5:30 p.m. Later, at 11:30 caroling will take place prior to Midnight Mass. On Tuesday, December 25, the Nativity of the Lord Christmas Day Mass starts at 9:00 a.m. All masses offer Holy communion.
St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church LCMS–601 N. Jackson Street, will hold Monday, December 24, Candlelight Christmas Eve worship at 7:00 p.m. On Monday, December 25, the Christmas Day service starts at 9:00 a.m.
Spring Valley Reformed Church–10960 Spring Valley Road, will have Candlelight Christmas Eve service on Monday, December 24, at 6:00 p.m. Organ music will accompany carols, and the Worship Team will play.
