Morrison Fillies head basketball coach, Tyler Whitbread, is announcing his second annual summer camp for future Fillies from grades 2 thru 8 and 9-12. The coach will be assisted by current Fillies. Coach Whitebread will focus on making the game ‘fun’ while teaching ball handling, passing, defensive skills and improving individual offensive skills and shooting. The basics of fundamental basketball will be offered with instruction covering defensive stances, footwork and rebounding and offensive emphasis being placed on passing, moving without the ball and dribbling to name a few. Registration forms are available at the Junior High and High school offices. Registration and payment must be received in the Morrison High School office by May 16, 2014. The fastest way for an athlete to improve on his/her skills is to be on the court and this camp offers the youth an opportunity to learn Fillies basketball and concentrate on the individual needs to improve their game.
