12th Annual Juried Art Show Winners

WAAExteriorWoodlawn Arts Academy announced the winners of its 12th Annual Juried Art Show, presented in partnership with the Sauk Valley Community College Art Department.  The 2020 judge was painter Fantasía Graham of Chicago, IL.  Awards were presented by Graham and SVCC art instructor Glenn Bodish.  Each winner was awarded a cash prize.

Artwork will be on display through Friday, November 20, 2020, at Woodlawn Arts Academy, 3807 Woodlawn Road, Sterling, IL.  There is no charge to view it.  Woodlawn Arts Academy is open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays.  In accordance with Health Department and CDC guidelines, face coverings and social distancing are required in the Academy building.

In the Adult Fine Art category, winners were Hands of an Angel by Robert Jacob, first place; The 80s Time Machine by Josh Rozco, second place; Cognitive Dissonance by Micah Green, third place; Starlight by Jessica Payne, honorable mention.

In the Adult Photography category, Mr. Ambivalence by David Bingaman took first place; Study in Gray by Nancy Weber, second place; Backyard Birds by Linnea Koch, third place; Cheetah Waiting to Pounce by Margery Franklin, honorable mention.

The Children’s (kindergarten through 12th grade) category winners were Night at the Work Desk by Erin D., first place; Fill Me Up by Damarys G., second place; Cute Dog by Reese G., third place; an untitled piece by Alaena L., honorable mention.
