2009 Year in Review

New MCH Operating Room and Specialty Clinic Coming Soon!

The Morrison Community Hospital has been grabbing a lot of attention recently with their ongoing success and anticipated growth. The hospital announced its $2 million dollar renovation project and the addition of two new specialty physicians, Dr. Thane Cody, Ear Nose & Throat Specialist, and Dr. Mohammed Irshad, Gastroenterologist. Conveniently, these specialists have decided to offer their services to patients prior to the opening of the newly renovated specialty clinic and OR.

The renovating of the operating room and specialty clinic began in June and is expected to be complete in the fall of 2009. The General Contractor, Stenstrom Design/Build Group, was selected by the hospital to complete the project. MCH is familiar with the work of Stenstrom as they were the group that renovated the MCH Family Care Clinic in 2007.

The OR project will include two completely renovated surgical suites, where state of the art equipment and the latest technology will be added. The new specialty clinic, located on the second floor, will include five exam rooms and a procedure room. Patients will now have the ability to remain close to home for their procedures and recovery, while still receiving the compassionate care that they expect from MCH.

The hospital will offer many new outpatient surgical procedures and preventative screenings. Procedures and screenings that will be performed at the hospital will include cataract surgeries, tonsillectomies, placements of ear tubes, colon screenings, diabetic screenings for feet issues, and many more.
