March 21, 1924 - May 23, 2009 ARTHUR L. HOUSEMAN, 85, of 511 W. Park Street, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison, IL. Arthur was born on March 21, 1924 in Sterling, IL to E. Fred and Edith (Newell) Houseman. He was educated in the Mt. Pleasant Townhip area, where he attended Mt. Pleasant Center Grade School. He graduated from Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. Arthur served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Olive June Aggen on April 18, 1945 in Dyersburg TN. She preceded him in death on January 18, 1997. Following the service, Arthur returned to Morrison area where he farmed until retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Morrison, IL; Morrison American Legion Post 328 and the Dunlap Lodge No. 321 AF&AM; He was the Director at the Morrison Elevator and a member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau. Arthur was an avid golfer and lifelong Cubs Fan. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Charles) Henry of Cape Coral, FL, and Kathleen (James) Ellicott of Fenton, IL; one son, Paul (Pam) Houseman of Mesa, AZ; six grandchildren, Phillip (Karen) Houseman, William (Darcy) Houseman, Jeff (Danielle) Houseman; Luke and Gabe Ellicott, Jane (Aaron) Eads; eight great grandchildren.
