Paul C. Young

September 26, 1937 - April 30, 2009

Paul C. Young passed away April 30 at his winter residence in Bedford, Texas at the age of 72. Born in Greenville, Il in 1937, Paul lived in nearby Sorrento and Olney and graduated from Greenville High school in 195l. He married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly Thompson in 1957, and was baptized into Christ the following year. In 1959 he became manager of the Tuscola, Il Farm Bureau and in 1962, manager of the Morrison, Il Farm Bureau. In 1973 he began a life-long and very successful career in banking, first as Agricultural Loan Officer and later President of the Smith Trust and Savings Bank in Morrison, retiring in 1999. He was a generous supporter of civic causes and people in need, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, an avid gardener and enjoyed family and friends..

Paul is survived by his wife Beverly, and their three children, Diane (Gabriel) Beltran, Bedford Texas, Jeff (Monica) Young, Geneseo, Illinois and Gordon (Karen)Young, Carrollton, Texas, and six grandchildren Nichole, Austin, Michele, Aaron, Matthew, Andrew, and three great grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, IL

OFFICIATING: Robert Baird – Missionary of Christian Churches

VISITATION: 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery
