August 06, 1922 - April 23, 2009 SHERMAN K. NULL, 86, of 217 Pine Street in Morrison, IL died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at C.G.H. Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Sherman was born on August 6, 1922 in Morrison, IL to Henry W. and Mary L. (Cleverstone) Null. He was educated in the Lyndon Schools in Lyndon, IL. He married Betty J. Bush on September 30, 1947 in Morrison, IL. She preceded him in death on May 13, 1991. Sherman was a member of the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in the pacific theater. He was employed by the former Carnation Company in Morrison, IL. He then was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL for 24 years, retiring in 1985. While working for General Electric he also worked part time for Yarborough Electric in Morrison, IL. Sherman was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and playing cards. Survivors include three daughters, Mary (Ronald) Tunnacliffe of Morrison, IL, Diana (William) Rice of Morrison, IL and Ellen (Ron) Callihan of Morrison, IL; one son, Ronald (Helen) Null of Morrison, IL; six grandchildren, William (Chastidy) Rice, Jessica Waddell, Michelle Cornish, Richard Callihan, Tim (Tosha) Null, Nicole (Matt) Tucker; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lavina Mongan of Oregon, IL; and one brother, Omar Null of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; four sisters, Vivian Waterstreet, Hazel Null, and two in infancy; and four brothers, Clyde Null, Bernard Null Sr., Howard Null and Harlan Null.
