April 15, 1924 - April 22, 2009 MARGARET LUCILLE VAN DYKE, 85, of 1306 4th Street, Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, April 2009 at her home. Margaret was born April 15, 1924 in Bluefield, WV to Jesse James and Annie Cleo (Lawson) Lewis. She was educated in the Princeton, WV schools, graduating from high school in 1942. She first married Carlile Hager on April 4, 1944 in Tennessee. She later married Gilbert Van Dyke on October 30, 1968 in Clarksville, TN. Margaret lived in West Virginia before coming to Clinton, IA in 1964 and later moving to Fulton, IL in 1968. She was a homemaker and also had worked at Swift and Company in Clinton, IA, then worked at Drives, Inc. in Fulton, IL, and later at General Electric in Morrison, IL. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing and especially having coffee with her friends. She loved traveling with her husband, Gilbert. She was an Elvis Presley fan. Survivors include her husband, Gilbert; one daughter, Betty Remrey of Fulton, IL; four sons, Eddie (Barb) Hager of Fulton, IL, Michael Hager of Galesburg, IL, Douglas Hager of Melrose, FL, and Ray Hager of Fulton, IL; one stepson, Allen Van Dyke of Washington, DC; seventeen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eva Payne of Mocksville, NC; one sister-in-law, Ruby Lewis of Princeton, WV; and one brother, Raymond (Lorraine) Lewis of Harlingen, TX. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Hager; six sisters, Rena Yvonne Calvert, Mary Lockhart, Ruth Bird, Bernice Hensley, Sylvia Lockhart, and Frances Bailey; one brother, Bernard Lewis; and two stepdaughters, Sue Damhoff and Peggy Van Dyke.
