CONGRATULATIONS & FAREWELL, MARTHA MOULTON

Martha Moulton, director of the Morrison Community Day Care, will retire May 1, 2009. Two special events will take place on Saturday, April 25, to honor her years of service.

First, an Open House will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church. Hosts are the day care center and the Methodist Church. The community is invited to the Open House, as we thank Martha for her service and dedication to her church and community. It would be especially meaningful if some of her former day care children attended the event.

Second, the Saturday, April 25, 5:30 p.m. service at the Methodist Church will be in honor of Martha. Come enjoy Peder Eide selections and other musical favorites.

Martha was born and raised in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, the third of four children. Her brothers live in their home state, and her sister lives in Minneapolis, MN.

She married Douglas Moulton in 1971. Doug was in the United States Air Force and was stationed in several U. S. locations. The couple spent 1978-1981 in Germany. When her husband retired in 1983, the Moultons settled in Morrison. Doug passed away in September 2000.

Martha started her career with Morrison Community Day Care in 1986; she has been the director since 2000. She and her family have been active members of the United Methodist Church.

Upon her retirement, Martha will relocate to Colorado to be near her two daughters. Heather, age 27, is the Director of Operations for Reach Ministries. Mary, 25, is working towards her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Please help us wish Martha well, as she moves onto the next phase of her life’s journey.
