The display was titled, “Our Docs Rock!” Each physician had their picture placed on a musical record with a song written on them. The songs were dedicated to their specialty. Here is the list:
Honorary Physician, Dr. Vandermyde – “Don’t Worry Be Happy”
Honorary Physician, Dr. Mulay – “Happy Trails”
Family Care Physician, Dr. Dinkha – “Dr. Feel Good”
Family Care Physician, Dr. Smith – “We are Family”
Family Care Physician, Dr. Koo – “The Doctor”
Family Care Physician, Dr. Haile – “Doctor, Doctor”
Family Care Physician, Dr. McPartlin – “I Feel Good”
Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist, Dr. Cody – “You Make Me Wanna SHOUT”
Podiatrist/Foot & Ankle Specialist, Dr. Dukelow – “These Boots Were Made for Walking”
Ophthalmologist, Dr. Alberts – “Eye of the Tiger”
Optometrist, Dr. Jennings – “Doctor My Eyes”
Pathologist, Dr. Acosta – “Hot Blooded”
Radiologist, Dr. Hallman – “Bone Dance”

“The display was a fun way to show our appreciation for the physicians. Physicians truly are amazing individuals. They dedicate their lives to caring for others. They really should be honored everyday,” said Shannon Rubright.
The first National Doctor’s Day was celebrated in 1991. The red carnation has become the symbol of Doctor’s Day because it denotes the qualities of love, charity, sacrifice, bravery, and courage.
